We hope you enjoyed your visit to the 2008 Royal Show and would like to thank you for your support.
Whether you are interested in great shopping, rural crafts, tasting the best food and drink that Britain has to offer, watching thrilling Grand Ring entertainment or seeing the latest farming technology, there’s something for everyone at the Royal Show.
As a nation of animal lovers, you won’t be disappointed by the scale and diversity of breeds of animals at the Show - from the beautiful pedigree cattle to prize-winning pigs and sheep! Make sure you visit the smallholder area to get up close to some Kune Kune pigs or Alpacas! And if that’s not enough, there’s all the Countryside and Game area displays with ferrets, falcons, lurchers and hounds!
The Society, alongside the majority of the great British public are keen to support local farmers. More and more people are interested in where their food comes from, supporting their local farming community and buying local produce - New for 2008 is a farmers market area, which will showcase the best of British farmers fayre!
For horse lovers, come and watch the championship level showing and show jumping classes, browse the high quality equestrian shopping area and enjoy the gripping equine displays - from the Horse Whisperer and Jive Pony to Polo and Pony Club Mounted Games.
There is plenty to see and do for all the family - in fact, one day may not be enough! Don’t forget to take your seat in plenty of time for the rousing Grand Ring events that will entertain you for hours! From the Chariots of Fire Horse Driving display and Sheep dog demonstrations to the White Helmets and the Bolddog Lings Free style motocross display, you won't be disappointed.
Why not try your hand at one of the exhilarating country pursuits in the Countryside and Game area – there’s archery, shooting and quad biking to try or why not test your courage on the 4x4 course?
