The Royal Show - Visiting

A Real EXPERIENCE
VISITING
The Royal Show is the UK’s leading agricultural show which is proudly organised and presented by the Royal Agricultural Society of England.  Held over four days, welcoming over 100,000 visitors, the Show prides itself on being one of the best events of its kind, celebrating and showcasing all aspects of food, farming and rural life. Come and enjoy a fantastic day out in the country; there’s something for everyone at the Royal Show.

Food
‘Foodie Heaven’ at the Royal Show 2009!

From the farmer’s field to the dinner plate, we will be telling the real story of food. The importance of food issues we all face today has never been more significant, with increased food prices, food security, food miles, locally grown and seasonal choices and traceability and provenance origins.

Farming
Supporting British farmers is the cornerstone of the Royal Agricultural Society of England philosophy. As well as focussing on bringing farmers the latest technology and science, the Show will provide a great forum for learning at its conferences and seminars.

You won’t be disappointed by the scale and diversity of breeds of animals at the Show - from the beautiful pedigree cattle to prize-winning pigs and sheep! Make sure you visit the smallholder area to get up close to some Kune Kune pigs or Alpacas! And if that’s not enough, there’s all the countryside and game area displays with ferrets, falcons, lurchers and hounds!

Rural Life
There is plenty to see and do for all the family - in fact, one day may not be enough! Don’t forget to take your seat in plenty of time for the rousing Grand Ring events that will entertain you for hours, indulge in some retail therapy and browse the gardening and horticulture area for all the latest top gardening tips!

For horse lovers come and watch the championship level showing and show jumping classes and enjoy the gripping equine displays - from the Horse Whisperer and Jive Pony to Polo and Pony Club Mounted Games.

Try your hand at one of the exhilarating country pursuits in the countryside and game area and why not test your courage on the unique 4x4 course?
