Smallholder Area at Royal Show offers a wealth of information

At this year’s Royal Show, those who are rurally connected or simply interested in the countryside or in smallholdings will not be disappointed.

The Smallholder Area will encompass all that you need to know about this important and ever growing industry.

Newlandowner will be on hand in the Smallholders advice centre, alongside a number of other experts and organisations to offer help and advice on every aspect of smallholdings.

A large number of trade stands will be present, and will include suppliers of equipment, literature, machinery and buildings. Exhibitors will include the Domestic Fowl Trust, the Dexter Cattle Breeding Society and the Organic Milk Suppliers Co-op along with many more.

There will also be many things to see within this area. Warwickshire College will be bringing a host of animals suitable for smallholdings, and the British Beekeepers Association will be hosting the popular honey show and also be offering practical demonstrations.

The British Camelids, the Kune Kune pigs, goat breeders, Toft Alpacas, the Rare Breeds Trust and experts in the poultry marquee, sheep and pig areas will be on hand to offer displays and advice.

Over in the Countryside Arena, there will be advice on mole-catching, ferreting and the Vintage feature containing a huge range of vintage farming machinery.

Also the Farmers Market will be demonstrating how the produce of smallholdings can be marketed.
