The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall to Visit Royal Show at Stoneleigh
TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will be making an official visit to The Royal Show on Friday 4th July. Taking place from 3rd to 6th July at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, the 159th Royal Show offers a rich and diverse array of displays, superb attractions, informative demonstrations and advice areas on all aspects of farming and country living.
Their Royal Highnesses will be welcomed by an official party including The Marquis of Salisbury, President of the Royal Agricultural Society of England, and Hugh Oliver-Bellasis, Chairman of RASE Trustees.
After visiting the new and enlarged Farmers Market, The Prince will make his way to the Energy and Sustainability Part and the Cattle Lines, while The Duchess will visit the Flower Hall, the show gardens, the Food Hall and the Equine Area.
Welcoming the news of the visit, Mr Oliver-Bellasis said:
“We are truly delighted that The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall are visiting The Royal Show this year. Their Royal Highnesses’ presence will be a real boost to morale in what has been a difficult year both for the Society and the farming community, as we have struggled with the effect of disease and the aftermath of last year’s very poor weather. The Prince of Wales has particularly asked to see the cattle, pig and poultry sectors, all of which have suffered in the past year.”
