Food Exhibitor

A key attraction of the Royal Show has always been its offering of the best of British food. And 2008 is no exception, as British ales and wines, meat and cheese, breads and pastries all vie for a place in the showgoers’ shopping bag.

In the Food Court you will find Michael Reece and Ian Niblett from Flights Orchard Organics, who will be selling local fresh organic produce including soft fruits, vegetables and organic fruit and veg boxes, along with organic juice made from apples from their own organic orchard in Herefordshire.

Their approach really reflects what visitors can expect from the Royal Show – not just superb, fresh produce but a real message to help consumers to find out more about where their food comes from. As consumers increasingly seek out local produce, it is good to see Show exhibitors like Flights Orchard Organics who source from as close to home as possible.

Flights Orchard Organics has exhibited at the Royal Show for five years now and in 2007 were the proud winners of the Small Producers Award. They find it a great event at which to meet their customers face to face – often for the first time, and talk to them about the produce and the people that grow it. The other major advantage of exhibiting at the show is the chance to allow potential customers to taste the produce, always a popular option!
