The Royal Show 2008 – ‘It’s Your Show’

3rd – 6th July Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire

For a great day out for all equestrian enthusiasts this July, visit the Royal Show at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. The show starts on Thursday 3rd July, and runs until Sunday 6th July and event organisers, the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE), are promising that the Royal Show 2008 has something for everyone. New for 2008, the brand new Heavy Horse area with a breed village and demonstration ring is a must-see! The show also features the ever-popular champion level showing and show jumping and a wide range of equestrian stands from clothing to horse equipment.

Show Director, Simon Frere-Cook said: “As England’s premier agricultural event, the Royal Show is totally committed to promoting the best of British farming and rural life. The show features some of the UK’s leading equestrian suppliers, and first-class showjumping and judging events. From the Pony Club mounted games to the Parelli Horsemanship Display, the Royal Show caters for all levels of interest and ability from beginners to experienced competitors.”

For family and friends who share tastes outside of the equestrian world, the Royal Show offers an action packed programme in the Grand Ring, craft demonstrations, shopping and countryside pursuits, gourmet’s choice over a great range of regional produce in the food hall and farmers market- the challenge is to fit it all in!

Other new attractions for 2008 include the Energy and Sustainability Park. With alternative energy being one of the hot topics for the summer, a great opportunity to really find out how this new energy source can benefit us all in the not too distant future. For a different kind of green, the newly-extended horticultural area is a must for the green-fingered.

So, make sure you have the 3rd – 6th July in your diary! Great offers are available for booking early, including discount packages for families, students, group parties and concessions. In addition, entry to the show is free for children under five.
